Reason#42 Mix-mix

Halo-halo
Look at all those colorful ingredients!
Nice to know:

“Halo”, read as ha-lo, not hei-low, means “mix”.

What they say:

I love halo-halo! Nothing beats the Filipino halo-halo. I have tried the iced desserts in Thailand and Singapore, but still our halo-halo is still the best of all! - Sophia Cabantog

Crushed ice + milk + langka + macapuno + sago + jelly + nata de coco + a bunch of other ingredients = refreshing and filling Pinoy dessert.

Add a scoop or two of ice cream to upgrade it to ”special” status.

Ice-themed desserts abound worldwide, but this is still my favorite.

Reason#3 Barong Tagalog

Barong Tagalog
Still looks good even on a pale mannequin.
What they say:

Even foreigners like the Filipino Barong, I have some American friends that asked me to accompany them to buy a barong for themselves. Nowadays, barong has different colors and textile used. Maybe its unique thats why they like it. - Sophia Cabantog

It's a radically different, surprisingly comfortable formal attire.

No need to tuck it in. No need to choke yourself with a necktie.
