Reason#15 Now This Is A Big Bird

Critically Endangered Philippine Eagle
The Philippine Eagle is so rare that I had to resort to this stuffed version. How sad.
Nice to know:

It's also known as a monkey-eating eagle, although it doesn't limit itself to such a strange diet. It also eats other small mammals.

In 1995, President Fidel Ramos named this as the Philippine national bird.

The female Philippine Eagles are larger than their male counterparts.

Sad to know:

This majestic bird is classified as critically endangered. Which means they probably won't be around long enough for our great grandchildren to see... unless we do something about it.
